APACI is governed by a Board of Directors, in compliance with the Articles of Association as set down by the Companies Ordinance, Chapter 32 of the laws of Hong Kong.

The Directors are Professor John Tam, Professor Yuelong Shu, Associate Professor Lance Jennings, Clinical Professor David Smith, and Dr Raja Dhar.

Day to day management of the organization is undertaken by APACI's Executive Director, Mr Kim Sampson.

Kim has more than 35 years of experience in management and finance in the fields of medical and scientific research, public and private health, and community services. Kim joined APACI in the inaugural role in April 2011.

He is also the Chief Executive Officer of the Australian Immunisation Coalition, as well as their Company Secretary.

Kim is also the President of the Australia Vietnam Friendship Society.
