Announcing

World Influenza Conference 2024

In order to strengthen exchanges, communication and cooperation among experts and scholars in the field of global influenza and respiratory infectious disease prevention and treatment, and to enhance the level of comprehensive prevention, treatment and response, Chinese Preventive Medicine Association(CPMA), Asia-Pacific Alliance for the Control of Influenza (APACI), Chinese Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (China CDC) and Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences (CAMS) jointly initiated the World Influenza Conference, which has been held every two years and has been convened three times consecutively since 2018, which has had a broad and profound impact.

The coexistence of multiple respiratory infectious diseases such as influenza and COVID-19 in the world poses a major challenge to susceptible populations and healthcare delivery systems, and poses a serious threat to global public health. WHO recommends that countries set a target of 75% influenza vaccination coverage for target populations. However, influenza vaccine coverage among susceptible groups remains low in many countries and falls far short of the target.

Call for abstracts:

In order to promote academic exchanges in the field and enhance the consensus on the prevention and treatment of respiratory diseases, CPMA, together with APACI, China CDC and CAMS plan to hold the 2024 World Influenza Conference from July 6th to 7th, 2024, in Boao, Hainan, China, under the theme of “From Influenza to Respiratory Infectious Diseases”.
